The customer that enters this information is responsible for:
- having the legal authority to collect it;
- obtaining required consent;
- providing required notices;
- using the information lawfully.
Chantier Works processes this information to provide the Service to the customer that entered it and according to that customer's instructions.

7. AI Processing
When you submit information to an AI feature, Chantier Works sends the information required for that request to third-party AI processing tools.
Third-party AI processing is limited to providing the requested AI functionality, operating and securing the feature, and meeting legal obligations.
Chantier Works does not sell Customer Content.
Chantier Works does not use private Customer Content to train a public or general-purpose AI model.
8. Third-Party Tools
Chantier Works uses third-party tools for:
- cloud hosting and databases;
- authentication;
- file storage;
- email and communications;
- monitoring and security;
- customer support;
- subscription billing and payment processing;
- AI processing;

Chantier Works requires third-party service providers that process personal information on its behalf to protect the confidentiality and security of that information under contractual and legal obligations.
Chantier Works also shares information:

- when required by law, court order, or a lawful government request;

- when you direct Chantier Works to share the information.
Chantier Works does not sell personal information.
9. Third-Party Integrations
When you connect a third-party integration, Chantier Works exchanges the information required to operate the integration.
The connected provider processes that information under its own terms and privacy policy.
The integration remains active until it is disconnected through the Service or the connected provider.
Third-party integrations are separate services controlled by their respective providers.
10. Processing Outside Quebec
Chantier Works uses third-party infrastructure and processing tools that operate in Canada and other jurisdictions. Personal information is therefore processed or stored outside Quebec for some Service functions.
Before implementing a transfer or processing activity that communicates personal information outside Quebec, Chantier Works completes the privacy assessment required by applicable law and implements contractual and security safeguards for that processing.
Information processed outside Quebec is also subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where the processing occurs.
11. Website Analytics, Cookies, and Application Analytics
Public Website
The public website at chantierworks.com uses non-essential technologies for two purposes:
- analytics (Google Analytics), to understand how the website is used and improve it;
- advertising (Google Ads and Meta), to measure which Chantier Works advertisements lead to contact requests and subscriptions, and to show Chantier Works advertisements to people likely to be interested.
These technologies are disabled until the visitor provides consent. Each purpose can be accepted or rejected separately through the website's consent controls. Rejecting them does not prevent access to the public website.
When a visitor has accepted advertising, Chantier Works keeps the advertising identifiers that arrive with an ad click (such as Google and Meta click identifiers). If that visitor then submits the contact form or subscribes, Chantier Works shares with Google and Meta the related event, those identifiers, the browser's IP address and user agent, and a hashed version of the email address, so those platforms can attribute the result to the advertisement. Nothing is shared with Google or Meta for advertising when advertising has not been accepted.
Visitors can withdraw consent at any time through the Cookie settings link at the bottom of any page of the website.
Chantier Works Application
The authenticated Chantier Works application uses only essential cookies, browser storage, security telemetry, diagnostic information, and operational analytics required to:
- authenticate users;
- maintain sessions;
- remember application preferences;
- secure accounts;
- detect errors;
- maintain reliability;
- understand application performance.
The authenticated application does not use non-essential advertising or marketing tracking technologies.
12. Data Retention
Chantier Works retains active account information and Customer Content while the account is active.
When an account becomes inactive because a trial ends, a subscription ends, or the customer cancels the Service, Chantier Works retains the account and Customer Content for 3 years.
At the end of the 3-year inactive period, Chantier Works deletes or anonymizes Customer Content unless the customer reactivates the account before the retention period ends.
Billing, tax, security, fraud-prevention, dispute, and legal records that must be retained under applicable law are retained for the legally required period.
Deletion Requests
An account owner can request deletion of the account and Customer Content before the end of the 3-year inactive period by contacting:
Chantier Works verifies the identity and authority of the requester before completing an account deletion request.
After verification, Chantier Works deletes Customer Content from active systems, except records that must be retained under applicable law.
Backups
Chantier Works maintains encrypted backups for disaster recovery and service continuity.
Deleted information is removed from active systems and remains in backup copies only until those backup copies are replaced through the backup rotation process. Backup copies are not used as active customer records.
13. Security
Chantier Works uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect personal information and Customer Content against unauthorized access, use, loss, alteration, and disclosure.
These safeguards include:
- encryption of personal information and Customer Content in transit;
- encryption of personal information and Customer Content at rest;
- encryption of backups containing personal information or Customer Content;
- authentication and access controls;
- access rules that isolate customer business data;
- restricted administrative access;
- security and diagnostic logging;
- backup and recovery procedures;
- security updates and vulnerability management.
No internet-based service is completely immune from security risk. Customers are responsible for protecting their passwords, authentication credentials, and devices.
14. Privacy and Security Incidents
Chantier Works investigates every identified confidentiality or security incident involving personal information.
Chantier Works takes steps to contain the incident, reduce harm, correct the cause, and prevent recurrence.
When an incident creates a risk of serious harm and notification is required by law, Chantier Works notifies affected individuals and the appropriate privacy authority and records the incident in the required incident register.

Chantier Works verifies identity before completing a privacy rights request.
When the requested information was entered by a Chantier Works customer about that customer's client, employee, subcontractor, or another individual, Chantier Works coordinates the request with the customer responsible for that business record.
Chantier Works does not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals solely through automated processing.
